What is Letter Draw?
Letter Draw transforms your cursor movements into expressive typography. As you move across the canvas, letters from your chosen text appear in your wake—with size and style responding to how fast you move.
How to Use
- Type your text in the input field—each character appears as you draw
- Move slowly for small, thin letters
- Move quickly for larger, bolder characters
- Choose a mode to change the drawing feel
- Press Space to clear the canvas
Drawing Modes
- Smooth Ink
- The default mode. High smoothing with gentle trailing creates a calm, meditative feel—like painting with liquid ink.
- Calligraphy
- Font weight responds dramatically to speed. Move slowly for thin, elegant strokes; move quickly for bold, emphatic marks. Letters tilt to follow your direction.
- Echo
- Each letter leaves behind 2-3 fading echoes that shrink and fade over time, creating dynamic motion trails.
- Scatter
- Letters appear with playful random offsets—controlled chaos that feels organic and lively.
FAQ
Why do letters get bigger when I move faster?
Speed-responsive sizing creates a natural calligraphic feel. Just like a brush leaves more ink when pressed harder, your cursor "presses" harder when moving with energy.
Can I save my drawing?
Right-click the canvas and select "Save image as" to download your creation as a PNG file.
What text should I use?
Try short phrases, your name, song lyrics, or affirmations. Longer texts create more variety as you draw.
